It is Gaudete Sunday! Rejoice! The color is pink or rose to symbolize Joy. Just think back to when a new baby came into your life and how you waited with joyful expectation and so we enter into the Blessed Mother’s feelings.
As usual, we dedicate the second and third Sundays of Advent to healing our minds and bodies, our emotions and souls. Last Sunday we celebrated the Anointing of the Sick and it seemed that everybody must have been sick because they all came up for the anointing. Now this Sunday, we celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation and I imagine that only half of the people are sick and will come up for this very important sacrament of healing and forgiveness. So, celebrate with us this wonderful preparation for the coming of the Lord coming into your heart and soul, body and mind.
