There will arise the sun of justice with its healing rays

Well church,

I write this right after I heard about the election results. As somebody said, “It is what it is!” We have hopes that it will be a good government and things will be good for us and the whole country and world. We have to run with the horses we got. Let us pray for our country and new leadership. Just pray it will be a better world, better country, better state and a better city for us also. A sort of Gospel reflection that I like to give you is that there is still some kind of trouble in our society or our country. Certainly it seems like this was the worst campaign time but all will be healed and we will move on as a country.

The Lord says in the Sacred Word, “By your perseverance you will secure your lives.” We have that hopefulness always that we will persevere and we go through whatever we have to go through and we make it. There is a hopeful message for all of us for a better country under this new leadership. We pray, pray, pray and cooperate and also challenge our new government leader. The Word of God also says to begin with that even though there are struggles and problems we will persevere and it will be a better world no matter what. Amen!

Finally Church, I like to rest in the sacred words from the prophet Malachi when it says, “There will arise the sun of justice with its healing rays.” As I rest in that word, I do claim Jesus as the Son of Justice, always sending out healing rays, that Jesus comes for us in our spiritual challenges, psychology challenges, emotional challenges and relational challenges. Amen. Alleluia!

Love, Fr. Bob
