Palm Sunday

A word from—Fr. Bob

Dear Church Family,

I imagine that you can remember getting palms on Palm Sunday all the way back to your childhood. I know I can. Then we would always put them behind a crucifix on the wall or some other sacred object. We would have them all year and they were there to remind of us when we saw them to think of the Lord and all He had done for us and We would pray. So that was a special celebration. So, remember your own personal stories about having palms. I used them all as a sign of praising God all year long. So, Church Family, let’s take that spirit away with us, not only during this Holy Week, but all year long as we place the pieces of the palm behind a statue or especially a crucifix on the wall. Then you will be ready to celebrate Palm Sunday.

Palm Sunday is a great time of praising our God. For the last 26 years we have been marching around the church and praising our God like they did of old. It is always a special time and we would come into the church, sing our hymn reminding us of the importance of the holiday of Palm Sunday, but again, listening very carefully as we pray.
Love, Father Bob
