Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord

Pastor’s Pen

Dear Church family,

We long to celebrate the Lord’s risen life and victory in our daily living. Here we are Church, in a very unique situation. In all my life and in all my priesthood and also with you this Pandemic has really taken its toll, but we stay steadfast and the Lord is victorious over all pandemics. So, church family, we claim the victory. We have traveled our legendary journey, a bit disrupted for sure, but we know where our blessings come from. We know that there is victory—that we will come out of our tombs as the new risen people in the Lord. We will continue on. So I greet you with a message of hope and victory even in the midst of trying to get a real hold on the pandemic that is present in our living at this time. Continue to be God’s Risen People! Alleluia!!

Love, Father Bob

I may be jumping the gun a little bit, but it was suggested to me that our parish may form a little parade around the church on Sundays. Today is Friday, which is a little late, but this is my little effort to drum up support for this project which I feel is a great way to contribute to the growth and support of our St. Augustine parish. Hopefully I will see you soon.

Next Sunday is Mercy Sunday. I know some of us are participating in the Divine Mercy Novena instituted by our own Saint Pope Paul II. (I think-feel free to correct me if I’m wrong:) Also, there are those of us that were planning on holding Divine Mercy devotions before this pandemic arose and took us out of our brick and mortar buildings.
